Cabin Boat for Fishing Estuaries and 1NM

Hi All,

Been a while since had a chance to be up here.

I am looking for a Cabin Vessel which is to be used for fishing in Estuaries and CAT E for 1nm.

If I buy private and the current owner has the boat as R what is the procedures to get it to CAT E?

Any other advice will also be appreciated!

I have a Flamingo 170 which I use for estuary and 1NM fishing. My understanding is that it must be a self bailing (wet) deck to be 1NM

The difference between Cat R and Cat C is the safety equipment you need onboard as well as 60% floatation for Cat C as opposed to 30% for Cat R.
