cabin boat for estuary and 1nm

Hi guys im looking to buy n 17 to 19 ft cabin boat mainly for swartkops gamtoos sundays for day and night fishing but would like to fish around the mouth areas also maybe until 5nm if possible was looking at the white waters or intercepter but maybe capecraft or something like that wil be beter and safer for sea but wil probably be worse for river need some advice please

If it is better for the sea why would it be worse for the river? Get the boat that will be safest for the sea.

Nothing wrong with the Interceptor, as long you convert it to a wet-deck or have a decent bulgepump installed.

Hi Rian, I am busy looking at converting my interceptor to a wet deck. Have you done something similar?

trying to figure out what to use to coat the deck, currently its carpeted and I have looked at durabak just dont want something too rough that will chow my feet. Ideas?

Have a look at the Flamingo cabin boat. They build them with or without a wet deck. There is one or two on Gumtree in "Eden" (Western Cape). You also get some with twin motor installations. As far as covering the floor is concerned, you can try flow coat. You can add pigment to it if you want a specific colour and some fine sand if you want a non slip finish.
