we took off at 7am boat no5 and got to our first fishing spot towards the river end just before the lillies and started fishing isolated weed patches and stumps. we got our first fish at about 7:40 and by 8 am had 3 nice fish on the boat biggest at 1.66 and the other 2 just on the kilo mark. we threw junior fluke watermelon red (my confidance bait) lite texas as the wind had not started howling YET. then it just died off no action nothing around us. we tried everything. then moved into the big grass bank and still nothing just a couple of small dinks. we moved to the banks opposite the launch where we got our 4th fish for the day at about 2:30pm on a trick worm in baby bass colour.
we managed a 4 fish bag at 4.22kg and got a 2nd place finish for the comp.
fishing was really tuff and the weather turned things upside down.
