Buying a old boat and doing the renovations yourself

Hi,

I'm new to this.

I bought a boat that has no papers.

I just finish building a new trailer for the boat and started with renovations on the boat.

Can someone please help me with what to do when i'm finished? Bouyance certificate, name registration,  COC, etc. ( How to do it, where to do it near Cape Town, more or less what the cost will be.) and also in what order i should do it !

The boat is a Impala MK5 4.1m.

Thanks

Call a few boat shops. A few do bouyancy certs and COF's - around R350 for each.

Mine cost a bucket load more than that....I guess you are excluding the actually installation of the buoyancy. Still, my COF alone was double that.....

For the installation of the foam I was quoted between R1350 and R5000
