Hi guys

I have orderd a 23ft butt cat with a cabin . Im wanting  to put two fuel tanks in the cabin under each seat on the left side and right side. The boat normally comes with the fuel tank on the back by the transom . Does anybody mybe know how the boat will handle with tanks in the front. I spoke to a guy who has his in the back of the boat and he says its fine but when he fills up the boat digs in a bit. ?????

If the tanks are too far infront you will use all the power of the motors trimming up the nose to prevent it from digging in. The best option is to have tanks at the back.

The bjutt cat 21 or 23 does not like weight furthwer forward than mid ships. (according to John butt the builder of them). Lurker 69's boat was our old 1. it had all the fuel and helm far back. that boat with 4 up 3 just ahead of the console, rode the sea better than any other boat I have ever been on. (but you do have a shower)
Our new one we set up with 120l fuel in the front hatch. the boat does not ride nearly as well. the console is much further forward than the old 1. Putting 60l oin the live well at the ttransom does help.
JB advised us to put fuel at the back, but we argued. Unfortunately he was right.
In your case, you have the added weight of the cabin up front. the crew will all hide int he cabin to get away from the cold and wet. way too much weight up front. then you add 200l of fuel up front and you going to be doing the rapala dance. Put the fuel at the back.
allt he weight up front will also influence consumption (IMO) as the motors will be pushing alot more boat through the water. if weight at the back, bow will be up and less boat in the water.
