Landed this beast of a bronze bream in Gonubie, East London on Friday night 10 December.

This Bronze bream was caught with a 1/0 hook, float on the shank and a small ghost crab that i found on the beach. Used my 12" , 3 pc rod and a shimano 200 G reel loaded with 12 kg kingfisher line.

The fight was amazing, thought it was a Silver steenbras ( Cracker ), it took a good 10 min to land as it was peeling off line as and when he felt like it.

Lenght : 590 mm

Weight : 6.06 kgs

Also landed a Shad / Elf of 450 mm.

Cheers

Dale

Hi Roland,

Blue fish is apparently one of the best eating fish. I myself have not tasted it yet.

I still have the fish in the freezer, thinking of getting it moulded, dont know if i will every get one this size again ?
