Bronkies Nature Reserve

Hi, I have caught some nice Carp at Baja before, want to go to Bronkies tomorrow and camp there on Saturday night.  Is it safe & is there power points for the caravan.... Thanks

Hi there

Was there two weeks ago. Block E & F do have powerpoints although they looked a bit dodgy. There was however about 12 campers using them.

The grass is still a huge problem. If you take your boat you can get over it^^...

Nothing came out the Saterday (cloudy and cool), but the guys next to me had a few nice carp the caught the Friday night.

Next to the reeds a nice (6kg+) barber came out around 10:30 the Saterday. The guy caught it on banana floaties, and it took him about 75min to get the fish out.

The powerpoints are def dodgy. Some are broken, and some have no protection.

Security is what you make of it. I will camp there with the family any time.

The ablutions are far from any camping site. Not a problem for the men or the lucky who have a porta potti, but something to keep in mind.

Fishing...? I am only a beginner :imnew so I cannot comment about that. Some will find it easier than others

I am not negative about this venue, but each to his own. Most prob you will enjoy it.

No Problem LM, I fish in any conditions as long as I have a fair chance of getting my fish out... As you say definately not 5 star there....

Youi might be a beginner, but not for long... All the best and thaks for your valubale advice.
