Its the time of the year when I go back home to Transkei.

Has any body fished the area from Braizenhead south towards Ntonga.

Will be there from Saturday 22 Sept. till 30 Sept. staying at Sinangwana.

Any info on Brazenhead,Mpande,Shark Point,The Wreck,Rahme and Ntonga would be appreciated.

Hi Brett, Haven't been down there for a few years, but I have heard that security isn't that great anymore. When we were there, about 5 years ago, some of our tackle went missing from the cave while we were having a tussle with a Hammerhead in broad daylight.

(Team members got plenty sharks, but shad was scarces)
 south towards Ntonga.
( I fished here, got 2 duskies/greys 124cm & 118cm, the third smashed. shad was only available at 1st light) Did speak to a couple of anglers that fished the entire week, they did get steenbrass, kob & yellowtail(cape)

we fished the last Postal round in these areas, Baby(small) Brazen was very productive. the ledge between Boulders & baby Brazen called Berlen was the most productive of all.
hope this helps

Hi,

I fished Mpame at the beginnning of August, from the beach, nailed the shad on the rising tide, around 10h00-12h00 in the morning.

Ran out of sards though, so take plenty with you. Didn't get a chance to slide etc, so no idea there.

hi peeps,

Yoh, Weedeater how many shad did u nail(4) & the rest for live bait I hope. Surely Brett wont go all that way for shad. Was there any luck for other anglers with any other species.

Thanks for the replies.

Mike - Security is fine, just dont leave things lying around as temptation is a problem.

We lucky as at our cottage we have 24 hour security walking around.

Bushman,Malcolm X - Please help as you were down there recently.

Raven - Thanks for advice on Braizen, normally only fish Braizen as last resort(getting to old for the walk)

Weedeater - Mpame is much further south than the area I will be at,but thanks anyway.

Go to the Google website, there are tutorials there how to use it... When u done, pm me your e-mail address, I will send you the placemarks for Transkei on Google Earth - then all you do is click on it and it will take you there.

You must also make sure you have the latest version of GE...
