Braid for tigers - is it really ethical fishing

Hey debate is healthy - always nice to hear the other side of the coin.....
As I stated these are my views and the route I choose to follow in persuing tiger - I just wanted to hear the other side of the coin.
Our Tiger stocks are deterioting at a rapid rate of knots - I personally believe we are only going to have access to bigger tigers for the next 5 -10 years - gill netters have very little impact on tigers as they mainly target back waters and structure and stay away from the main stream - Why are big tigers becoming less?
We need to start asking ourselves these questions.....
This was maybe just a different point of view...
Some of the comments hold water - others are just clutching at straws....
Anyways I am leaving for the zambezi in 5 mins - guys have a good time hope to see you in a coulple of month's with some big fish photies and maybe by then I will be an expert in tiggers

You are quite right Ryan, our fish quantities and quality is an a steep downhill path, and not only fresh, in the sea as well.
Here is a link where I tried to suggest something one can do, but nobody is interested. It does not apply only to the sea, but to fresh water also. The requirements for fresh is different, but just as nessesary.

I take back what I said about braid....
These are the strongest fighting Tigers I have ever caught anywhere. I started on Mono went to 15lb braid then to 20 now I am fishing 40lb guys are being broken on 60LB it is crazy here....
Bite can be so subtle that the braid helps
Yesterday we boated 17 fish over 10lbs and the biggest was 19lbs (Just short of 8kgs)
The fish are in frenzy's here chasing bait into balls - it is common place to have all three guys tight on the boat. then all off then all one again - snapped off broken off hooks pulled off it is insane...
I take back what I said about braid....

The shorter the fight, the better for the fish
On our Cahorra trip, we had a guy with spinning outfit and No.3-4 size Mepps having a ball in open, shallow water on the 3-4kg range of tigers. (Pity that almost all his tigers took the small spinner so ferociously, that it went past the teeth and jaw, and got stuck in the gills)
Hit him hard, pull him hard, let him make his modelling debut on the boat, and get him back fast.

Ryan, I'm so glad you finally got the Tigers... I'm sure it was another species you were getting before.
Well done !! Let's see some of the pics. If you have trebble hooks, cut them off and replace with a single, works much better, your hookup rate should about double. Also, ask your friend Pieter Naar Pienaar Kotze which Bagley's it is that is catching the tigers so well. He'll probably lie to you either with he hasn't got any or some other lame excuse.
