Got there at 6 picked a spot 100m left of the first big clump of trees on at the waters edge..

Rained 80% of the day.. Some Hail.. Some lightning.. lotsa wind.. tried most baits in my box.. did 60-110meters..

caught one 90g grassy (im embarassed to say.. )

The End..

Personal lessons learnt..

1. Location location location.. make sure you KNOW were the best spots are dont guess..

2. weather does play a role .. accept it.. there is just no fish in hell..

3. every fish counts.. i lost one in the morning and was not too bothered.. but it turned out to be beeeg mistake.

4. Dont ever go to boshkop again..

Die weer is maar snaaks deesdae jong. Reen weer katte en honde hier in Jo'burg. Dit is maar frustrerend. Ek is nie n winter mens nie, maar wens nou vir die winter, want ek is gatvol vir die reen.

Winter fishing is really challenging as the fish are less active. My biggest bag of fish for June was 22 fish and I fished my socks off...!
luckily I knew the venue extremely well and managed to find the fish.
