Boating spots

Hi there,

Apologies for this and I'm sure some one has either posted this question or replied to to it but i have recently bought myself a ski boat... i have my skippers, buoyancy and COF.

Where is a decent place to go boating? I'm looking to go some where close to JHB
I'm looking for good amenities as well: shade, grass, braai facilities, clean ablution blocks, possibly chalets or bungalows

Hi Bize

For a one day outing the VAAL RIVER, Bronkies, Vaal dam at Deneysville, Witbank Dam, Middelburg dam, Roodeplaat, Hartebeespoortdam. For a weekend at the dam Oberon resort at Harties is ok but for a nice weekend I would go to Loskop dam. Nice chalets and lots to do for everybody in the family. Heated pool, gameviewing from boat, fishing etc.

For a great experience athough a bit far Jozini dam. Tigerfishing , game viewing and plenty excellent lodges at dam.
