boat registrations / different provinces

Hi all new to sealine and i do appologise if this topic has been asked or answered before.
I fish the Eastern Cape in the Buffalo city district. I plan on travelling into different provinces and fish the different estuary systems with my vessel.
Now here is the BIG question?
with my vessel registered for the Buffalo City district does a person need to register their vessel for use on other estuary systems in a different province?
I have tried searching for information regarding this and i have hit abit of a gray area...
My understanding is based on the fact it should be like that of a motorvechile in the sense that as long as it is registered and links back to you it should be fine to travel to different areas using its current valid registration...
But on the other hand my theory could be completely wrong and this is why i am seeking clarification on this topic.
I have been led to believe that if i decide to fish a district away from my region i would have to pay a registration fee for that area for a year and to me that seems excessive for someone who may fish that area for a weekend.

From a SAMSA / ICASA (national registration and safety survey, and radio licence) point of view you are good to travel around bearing in mind the limitations of your ticket (distance, night rated and harbour or surf launching) - so no issues there.
However, most estuaries have their own local set of rules as well, as part of a municipality. ie the Breede. You would need to register locally and buy and display the necessary permit. If you are legal nationally then there should be no problem in obtaining the permit.

Not 100% sure on this, but outside of the Cape, most estuaries and dams don't require specific registration. Even in the Cape, many don't require. I'm open to correction here but I think St. Lucia in KZN has a permit system. But for the main part, as long as you are legal on a national level, and have a national fishing license, you should be covered. In Limpopo (my launching grounds) I don't know of a single dam where there is a permit system.

Cheers for the feedback gents, this is my understanding as well... I do feel the gray area on this topic is there is a gray area around the whole local municipal licenses and the estuaries which is my main level of interest here. I suppose the correct way to do things is contact those municipals before hand to find out how their systems work. As I do think it would be outrages to pay a full municipal license for a particular area for a weekends fishing when you are licensed and registered in a different municipal area... I would imagine the main thing of importance should be that you are up to code for your category.
