Changing it costs a lot more than R12 in it's weight in metal. There is the sign, the guy putting it up, the ladder, the guy holding the ladder, the truck driver to get them there and then the countless meetings and bribes that go with it. Then there is everyone with a GPS now cant find the street name. Besides, the street names last a very long time! And if you want to change the name of your boat, go for it. I don't care because it doesn't effect me at all.
What about the businesses / industry? Everyone on that street looses business. They have a certain address in advertisements and yellow pages and when customers cant find them, they loose out. The companies must change stationary, website, signs, business cards etc. Maps need to be changed, your GPS doesn't work. Parcels don't get delivered...
