Who would be the best to get my boat insured with? and for what amount ?

I have recently moved both my boats to McCrystal Insurance,they specialise in marine insurance and about halved my monthly premium!

I got quotes from a whole pile, just insured my new boat today with Club Marine - R225000 costs about R220 pm.

How do you determine for what value to insure ?

Calculate the market value / replacement value of your set-up and that's the number.

You break everything down.......eg:

Hull - 95k

Motors - (45k ea) - 90k

Trailer - 25k

T Top - 15k
