Hi All,

Im looking at opening a shop where i sell boat electronics, 29mhz radios VHF radios, fishfinders, GPS's, Marine sound systems and stuff like that.

Do you guys think it will work, i think of first starting from home and see how it goes.

I think it could work, or just as an agent to get all the stuff.

I was recently looking for some Garmin parts and what a mission.

Garmin would not sell directly to me, and my nearste Garmin agent is in Worcester, but I do not believe that he has my best interest at mind.

If he does not perform before I go to Cape Town again, I will go and support Deon at Seaport.

The Garmin online shop is also useless, I can see all the parts on the USA website, but nothing on the RSA website.

They do not even have the new echo range the last time I checked.

I think the most difficult part will be to learn the basics of all the products to speak to potential customers.

Thats my 2c.

Hey Hamco, thanks for your feedback thats the kind of feedback that i need. I know what you mean the big suppliers doent really care about our small guys, because they cater for the big guys.

My main goal is to focus on our normal guys (fisherman) I'm also thinking of courier the items to you if you are far from me.
