Gents can someone please give me advise on what will be the best protection for your boat. And do you polish or wax the boat, and what will be a good wax or polish. Thanks

Do both and use StarBrite.
I use the normal hull cleaner (and green bleach for the bilges) as a shampoo. Then the polish and finally the wax. If done properly, I only redo it twice a year (boat is heavily used) except where I drag tuna over the gunnels. That gets redone monthly. For the wax, I use the medium pad on an orbital polisher.
The only non waxed area is the fishbox. For this I chop up 12 lemons and leave them in the hatch with it full of water overnight.
Even takes off tuna snot.
