no i only fish for edibles. im looking for a medium rod of about 13ft. medium to softish tip. im just used to judging the rod according to purglas standards. cos i have a purglas /4 which is a heavy duty rod. what is the casting weight of the rod (4oz 5oz??) is it a 1 or 2 piece?

Blue Marlin and Purglas don't use the same rating systems when it comes to cast weights. A Blue marlin /6 is rated to throw 6oz and Purglas /6 throws 10-12oz.

This rod for sale is in fact a very nice edibles rod.

PS a Purglas /4 isn't really all that heavy duty, its more of an allrounder. The Purglas /6 would fall into the heavy duty category

Good Day Sassie.

Some more info on the Stroke 7+1 please. Hopefully it's still available.
