Blue marlin is back in business though as far as I know, I just got my favorite spinning stick back recently again after replacement/rebuild of the tip half, after waiting at some stage for like a year for them to be up and running on blanks (the blank did arrive long back but I had no chance to collect my rod, there was change of ownership and and 2 years back I think). Their instagram page is live again and they are posting so try phone or email them?
My rod is based off a superslim grinder blank with spigot joint so they should be able to supply to rod builders again. Why not get a custom stick and support a local artisan? Nice fuji guides and setup exactly how you want it, and a bit of loving care and it does't work out much more costly than a retail rod.

Since my first custom stick, I've gotten many more hahaha..Bought some off the shelf sticks too, but had as many old sticks rebuilt and customized as well. There are good rod builders up north Gauteng side, east coast, Cape Town etc.. I got rods built by a bunch of skilled guys and they all rock. But to be honest my custom rod built off an amazing composite developments graphcast blank, is only my backup stick for my Bluemarlin SS..When that blue marlin is in my hands everything just feels right, when I throw it, its just is right..when I hook a beast I give it horns I have pulled that rod so hard and it has never blinked,landed me many 10kg plus yellowtail from the bricks, biggest just over 15kg, LOL and its only a 3-4oz..I gotta pull a 15kg yellowtail from the rocks harder than I gotta pull a 85kg tuna on the boat, my blue marlin just gives me a warm feeling in my tummy..they should sponsor me, I want more SS's.
