Where's the pic?

The cheaper versions as with many other off the shelf cheaper versions are fitted with NON-FUJI and NON-WEBO components. Bet you the 15 year old rod that looks good is built with Fuji components.

This makes them cheaper and more attractive but makes rod pron to rings chipping or falling out, guides and reel seats rusting

That's why a Fuji component rod costs more as you won't have those hassles. The more expensive Blue Marlins are only fitted with Fuji.

That's why a proper custom rod costs more because it doesn't have the cheaper components on it that puts a rod into a price zone that everyone can but.

Yes there are cheap Fuji (NOG and NLG), Expensive fuji MNAG and VERY Expensive Fuji MNSG

Got any pics of the rusted component?

The reel seats on the G3 are really crappy. And then we don't even speak of the guides. BUT, it does have a good blank.

That's why I changed mine to a 22mm Fuji trigger and better guides. Much happier now.

Buy proper tackle and it won't happen.

The G2 is a price point rod, same components as on the shimano Beast MAster etc.

Remember you get what you pay for, if you want quality pay for quality

You are paying 95% of what you pay, for the Blank and maybe R50 for those components so you shouldn't expect more than R50. The Blank on the other hand is a R1000 T24 Blank

Pay the extra R600 and get proper components

This is the last 14ft Rod I wanna fish with..2 much takle and I now only use a 12ft L&F the the bricks and the 14ft for Summer fishing hence the 3 tips(that's all I need for the applications and fish I hunt)

I have my BM for about 4 years now and only recently started corroding on the guids. The reel seat is still fine but a good rinse after every trip is vital. IMO... Very good rods.
