Hey guys,im doing a 2 night session at bloemhoek dam in kroonstad,gave my father the job of prebaiting there from today with particles and sweetcorn boilies.i grew up in kroonstad and fished the dan alot conventional and for bass(monster bass in there)but dont know about anyone fishing it specimen.would like to know if anyone has been there?i know theres big carp around,saw a 13kg caught on fly gear about 7 years ago.theres alot of small fish so were baiting quite heavily.the spot is just infront of an underwater island in about 8meter depth on the toe of the island,its a rocky gravel bed in front and the top of the island feels like silt and its only 2 meters deep so its quite a steep drop.i think its a prime spot for carp!saw some fish surfacing in the area aswell.any tips will also be appreciated!
