I tried various baits - mielies,floaties,swd,brown bread. Dips used - fx,tjop tjop,ebonystawberrycombo etc. 1 reelrun 0 hookups 0 fish caught another pic

Pic 1 in the middle -- no baitboat no canoe so i couldn't get to the boats lots of rocks

Looks like the other side of Rus n Bietjie oord...? I've had some success at the resort, esp at the distance where the boats dock like Naruto mentioned. I usually throw my lines in at the far left corner of the resort where the bank is built up so it's already deep. On my last visit there, I hired a canoe (for hire at the resort for 50 bucks) & took some lines in close to where the boats dock, lost a Big carp right before netting it....:doh

I think a lot of food gets into the water off the boats, so you will get the fish there. I have some pics of the same spot. All the fish came out at distance.

Hey Bobbles

Did you wade in and cast your bomb or did you cast from the side?

I've fished at deneysville before and I've had success by wading in waist deep and then casting in to reach the deep water.
