Blanked - False Bay and West Coast.

So I went out to strandfontein this morning between palletjies and sonwabi. Bait fish stripping my bait in under 10min. Even a whole pilchard! Gone. Ok... Home for lunch, low was round 3 so I figure i'll fish the incoming at sunset. Headed to Kombuis which was deserted, strange, conditions looked pretty good. Then I saw the blue bottles on the beach. Crap. Here already, what the hell. Cast whole chokka... 25min in water, not even a nick in the bait. Ok. Add some smell, put some pillie on either side. Cast. 20min later. Niks, not even a bite on the bait! What the FFF..rikkedel? Yeah. At least I got to test out my new setup, L&F Shockwave HMG... What a beautiful setup with a Tor30. All smiles Pity about the fish... Anybody have better luck?

Hey Adi. Also went out to area mentioned this morning. Even had out a slide. Tried different baits but as you said, bait fish stripped the hooks. Nothing else happening then packed up and went home for lunch.

We've also put in the hours Friday and Saturday and got nothing at Strand and GB harbor. Mate returned one undersized cob.

Saw the fisherman catching shad at Bikini beach side of the harbor wall. They were so skilled at returning the shad, that it was challenging to witness.

Apart from peckers destroying our bait, no bites. Nothing. Conditions perfect, still nothing. WTF ? Where's the fish?

Blakes was the same Saterday morning , loads of peckers , fouled one which turned out to be a strepie so i chucked him back as live bait , nothing.Water was warm , beautiful morning but nothing apart from feeding the creche babies!!!And plenty washing machine kelp close up on the beach........pity
