Blakes - Strand

We fished Blakes on Saturday 13 October. We caught a black tail approximately 2Kg and a small rock cod. Guys fishing next to us caught: Steenbras;Elf and black tail.

Put that blacktail into your best catch - it'll drive you back to the sea - quickly.

hope those guys put the elf back as the season is closed!What size steenbras and what bait where they taking?

No unfortunatley they didnt put the elf back. They were fishing with mussel collected by the milnerton light house. Steenbras was a similar size to the blak tail - around 2Kgs

Around 15:30 The guys also caught a small wildeperd. Do you know of any other beaches in the Strand area to fish - directions please.

Try melkbaai at low tide in front of the restaurant, its just where the reef stops to the right of blakes about 2kms down.

I LIKE TO NO IF STRAND IS A GOOD SPOT TO FISH IN STRANS FOR KOB IN SUMMER AND A GOOD SPOT TO GO FISH AT PLS IM NEW TO THE GAME^^..^^..^^..^^..

Hey guys,

Who is keen to hit False bay this Sunday (26th Sept 2010)Please let me know, I'll be going with a buddy, but still think saftey in numbers is a good idea...

I was thinking of Monwabisi, or Strandfontein bach...?
Any suggestions???
