Howzit guys, my first real video... excuse the music, also the first music I have made, this was from a trip in December, caught four of them on lures and had some epic underwater shots, but I lost the video as my card was corrupted...

Thanks Franny and Dr. Halibut....Haha Limpopo :)

The baitfish were small silver sardine types that were about 75mm long, they were on that shallow bank for two days. It was a jol catching the Blacktop on lures.

Awesome video mate ,
love watching natures show . Gets the blood pumping , love standing in between the bait fish and being part of the action.

What lures did you manage to get the black tips on ?
I have had plenty of interest on top water plugs and poppers , but never hooked up . They chase them hard and fast , but normally pull away at the last second after they have seen myself while wadding the flats.

Hey Willo,

Think it was those SMITH Mebapen's that I got them on, but they were eating anything that was put in front of them.

Maldives is such an awesome light tackle destination, but the big fish were missing.

Nice mate ,

I am yet to get a fish on the mebapen's that i got.
They have a great action , had a few follows and misses , might have to put the treble hooks back on ....

Hopefully heading back up north at the end of the year and get to use them again on the flats.

Never been myself , but have seen a few pics / video's , the place looks incredible .
Will be added to my bucket list of must do's .

Willo, you are spot on about the hooks, I put a treble back on the front as the single screwed up the action. The Bonnies are super selective where I fish and they love the Mebapen.

Are you still running a single off the back and have you put back the original treble in the middle, just want to try get it balanced again.
Thanks

Thanks mate,

I will set mine up the same, i have changed a lot of my stick baits to that same setup as i find they tend to have a better action with a front treble. I still tend to hook 90% of the fish on the back single hook.
