Black at cinsta west

:imnewAfter getting convinced by Alton to fish instead of party we decided to head off to Cinsta west and fish for those reef loving fish the black steenbrass.
We ge there about an hour before dark, water was clean and was over cast. Alton threw in for a silver and i threw in for a shark, both of our rods didnt get a bend:fishn. Alton managed to catch a big eye for live bait whilst i managed to catch a stunning looking rock cod on the light tackle.

1OMIN before it was completely dark i decided to reel my shark bait in and fish for edibles. I threw in a chokka bait with 1 tentical on the hook for vibration, less than a minute in the water i got pulled flat, as i hit i felt my line  chaffing on the reef. I decided to move around abit and see if i couldnt get it off the reef but couldnt, i just decided to tighten my drag and pull the fish of the reef having full confidence in my penn fathom 40,.50 perline and Loomis sharky and got it off the reef::S::Sand landed a 5.1kg Black.:wfish Next cast with the same bait caught me a nice spotted gulley shark of 150cm but didnt bother taken a picture. Alton threw in a live big eye and as he put his rod down his ratched went and landed a lovely spotted gulley shark of 162cm::Sand later landed a striped cat shark on the last cast. well done, but im glad i chose fishing over a party.:fbash

Welcome to Sealine. Nice catch and I'm sure we'll get a lot more of those in the future. I think a Raggie or 2 may suprise us there as well.
