Blaauwpan Report

So on Saturday myself and Bapsfontein (Jess) decide to try out a small dam on the Eastrand called Blaauwpan. The previous day (Friday), the weather was splendid, so we figured that Saturday would be the same. Little did we know that Saturday the weather would not play ball with there being rain, winds, morning lighting and even a dash of hail! But this being said,we decided to persevere and see how the day would unfold.

The morning turned out the be quiet and it picked u gradually in the afternoon. We managed 3 carp between us. One was caught on the convential method and the other 2 on specieman method. Baits were taken out about 200m with a bait boat.

The weather picked up again in the late afternoon and we decided to call it a day.

I am looking to start up specieman fishing and I think that this experience was a push in the right direction:)

Please excuse the quality of the pics as they were taken on my cell.

Until next time,

Cheers,
Bijen

Don't sell the torium and assasin just yet. U still have to take them to Orange Rocks ::) Congrats on the carps and good luck with the specimen angling.
PS, that H-frame was a treat and worked like 20 charms. Walked a 'vasbyt' the one day at Kabeljouws in J-bay with a smile. Thanx! ::S
