Talking of overwinds..... Have you guys found that after a overwind the line develops weak spots????
I have on a few ocasions came to the conclusion that after a overwind , my line is not as strong. It is as if where the loops were formed the line loses its strenghth. Lost a couple of fish like that. After inspection where the line broke, i found it to be in the section where the overwind was. Now after a serious overwind i rather remove the overwound line, and put new line on.

Sakkie, in my countless overwinds I had, I noticed a lot of time while ondoing the overwind, there is loops in the line going the opposite direction. I think what happens is that as the overwind is developing, the loop thats developing gets caught over the line going out thru your rods guides. What happens then it that the loop locks your outgoing line, resulting in a dead stop on your terminal tackle. While ondoing your overwind, you actually can find the spot where the line was caught, it will most defenitly always has a kink/nick in the line there.
