BIGGEST FISH CAUGHT ON COFFEE GRINDERS

Hi guys

can u guys pls post info on the biggest fish uve caught off the shore/rocks using a coffee grinder. pls post lotsa details like make of reel , duration of fight , location etc etc etc

Mine is small, but it was a fight of note!! Bronzie of 54kg's Maccassar Beach on a whole mullet. 8/0 VMC , .45mm Kingfisher Giant Abrasion , 20lb whiplash backing on an Assassin Spinning rod and Shimano Ultegra 10 000. Fight took about 45mins. Sold the reel last week ang replacing with a Sarragossa 8000 soon.

My biggest catch on c/g to date, this cracker caught at Cape Agulhas on sand prawn with a Shimano Scimitar rod and reel combo, 2/0 j hook (mustad), fight lasted about 15 minutes and fish took me for walkies up and down the beach, landed it about 150m from where i hooked it, all 8-10kg of it.(released)

this bay is to left of first pic,called tweede baai,both these bays are about a half hour walk from suiderstrand,thats to say facing the bay(s/strand) and walking to your left

Ok, dan is dit dieselfde baai as op daardie foto, net met laagwater. Dit is omtrent 10min se stap as jy weet waar om te stop. Soos mens Suiderstrand toe ry, kyk net vir 'n voetpaadjie wat af see toe gaan, dit sal net so entjie voor daai bultjie voor suiderstrand se indraai wees.

Sorry for the hijack , Have caught a few nice shad with my grinder, but also lost a few nice fish, so I prefer a multiplier or a baitcaster when I'm angling a bit lighter.

A wave almost smashed me off the rocks, while fighting the fish and led to slack in the line, which gave the fish a chance to slip the hook
