Like I said, that I fully agree with that, but I can't think that if I have the right location and my bait isn't fully balanced with every thing carp need and want, that I will get the same carp as the person next to me, with their bait ticking all the boxes. I'm just talking about boilies here. You always hear people say, use quality baits. That is where the question came from, what is a good quality boilie brand.

But you don't have to balance your baits, I've had more fish on bottom baits than balanced baits. One thing I've noticed from carp anglers and newbies in particular, they tend to overthink and over-complicate things especially rigs.
In a way thats true, however it does not have to be a bait that contains what the carp needs. The main thing is that the bait gives off some kind of signal that entices the carp to at the least try it/investigate. Then a second would be that the bait should at least be edible and palatable so that the carp will want to keep going....Even if you have location right it still does not guarrantee that the carp will automatically feed on your bait.

Sorry, I don't mean like balance with pop up or fake corn. I'm talking about the nutritional value of the bait and attraction. I only use bottom baits for now. Like you said I don't want to over complicate things.
