Bettys Bay

Has anybody tried lure fishing in Bettys Bay with any success? Is it worth trying?

Not the best spot most likely...At certain times of the year in summer, the easts push warm water up into those bays, maybe there are some lost leervis around or a random cob? In days old there must have been good fish, but not heard of anything from that side..There are tail spots close by, but those are very seasonal and very specific to conditions and time of year, and very dangerous to fish and many have died there..but ja..

Leave the spinning tackle at home. Rather target the spotted gully sharks they are a very realistic target and are great fun to catch.
Fresh mullet baits or chokka baits will get you a pull.

Always worth a try. But not tried there before with lures, but have fished with bait and had some success.
