Best Leader to Line knot??

What is the best knot for Leader to main line?? I'm using 5lb main line and 18lb leader.

When I cast I get the feeling my leader knot is catching the guides a lot causing major distance loss.

And what amount/length leader line should be on the reel??

Wrap the 18lbs leader 3 x around the double mainline

If using braid leader wrap the braid leader 6 x around the double nylon.

Only knot you'll need conventional bank angling leaders
