Best battery for 40lbs electric motor

Hi guys,

Need help please^^.. Im looking to buy a 40lbs electric motor but i dont have a clue about witch battery to buy for it??? Any suggestions?

And do anyone know how long the battery will usualy last before it needs recharging? Dont wanna troll up the river for 5km - 10km and then need to paddle back:kaykak

Its not a big boat... One of these inflatable boats u can buy at fishing stores for about R2000

Any help will be appreciated

I had a 36 lb think minikota motor on a rubber duck with a 54 a/h deep cell battery and the battery lasted me about an hour and hallf full throttle

Just get a 102 AH, will last you many trips. Nothing more frustrating then dealing with a run down batt after a 3 hours.

Agree, get at least 100a/h. If you run Deep Cycles below 20% capacity all the time they won't last long. You are looking at about 1.5K for a decent 105a/h deep cycle battery.
