Hi Guys

Please can anyone comment on the Berkley Tactix 7 foot 2 piece med rod.

Can you share what reel and line you have match with this rod and also what are some of the species you have caught with this combination.

I have one, paired with the Diawa Excellor 3000 filled with 10lb fireline.

Absolutely LOVE this rod, Great action and plenty of Backbone. Havent got anything beg yet, some decent Wave Garrick, Blacktail, but nothing to really shout about.

A bit pricey, but without a doubt a great rod !

I honestly can't fault any Berkley rods, they are really good. If you got one, fish with confidence. If you don't, you can go ahead and buy it. I know they are pricey, all the Ferrari's are.

Yes, I am in the process of purchasing one. I cannot find one up here in JHB and have to get Basil Manning to courier me one up.

The price is not to bad for a good rod at R800.

Just need to now make the decision on a reel to match it up with.

Its a good rod, you will be happy.

Pair it with a 3000 size reel that has a solid machined handle and stainless bearings suitable for salt and load with10lb crystal fireline

I personally use a crucial 7.2 MH & 6.8 M, but the Berkly Tactix comes in heavier sizes I think.

I have alse been impressed with the Diawa Exceller, for the price they are super.
