Berkley - Nanofil

Howzit everyone

I see that Bekley has released a new line "Nanofil" and they recon that its better than braid, well defiantly thinner.

Does anyone know if its available in South Africa yet and if the Berkley agents are going to import it?

Thinner as in fireline is 0.006in for 6pd and Nanofil is 0.005in for 6pd. So its not dramatically thinner but still is a bit..

They say it won the innovation of the year 2011 in some big European convention. Its as strong as superline and also better casting.

It will definitely be launched at the trade show this year. Look for it to hit your tackle shops in late August.

Howzit Nevergiveup>  If you still havent come right finding the Nanofil, send Couta-Koppie a pm.  I know that he stocks some in his shop.  And Richardsbay is much closer than Durbs for you.

Sells for about R550.00 for 300 yards . Absolutely brilliant. Casts a mile compared to anything out there . I have the 10lb but can't recall the diameter. But much thinner than fireline. Feels quite a bit like like dental floss. As for wind knots , haven't had one yet - no matter how you wind in. The breaking strain is much higher than rated. Excellent for light tackle spinning. Guys, once you try this you won't wanna use anything else .... Guaranteed . Love the product.

went and had a look at the Nanofil, and it feels absolutely brilliant, definitely going to spool my reel with it when the braid is finished..
