I'm sorry the middle east is a bit out of my way, it's not like I'm driving past on my way home any time soon. Seeing as I've seen that you can type in AFRIKAANS you must have a relative here in SA, and I would gladly make a plan to get one to them for you. I would also like to add that there has never been a DVD filmed with more double and triple hookups than this one.
All the fish in this DVD were caught on ether Gulp or Power bait and no other imitations. These baits really work and nothing comes close.

Not if it has been manufactured into an art lure. In my opinion it's not bait, as bait will decompose a lot faster than Gulp.

Watched the DVD last night, must say I enjoyed it more than ANY of the other ones I've watched.
Great fishing and great presenters, I think of it as the perfect combination, Mad Mod, Hennie, Rob and Wesley ....
Those SA anglers did us proud.

There isn't much to be learned, it's more a fishing DVD, you watch them catch fish ...
They ofcourse only use Berkley products and Mad Dog mentions that a few times, but it really is a very nice fishing DVD (if u like to watch other people catching fish).
Here and there you get a tip or two, but like I said, more about fishing.

I dare say Neil old chap, thats a bit unfair.
It is my humble amateur's impression that the professional anglers give a good rundown of aspects such as leader lengths, types and colours of lure's the individuals prefer, jig weights, retrieval techniques, depths for certain lures to retrieve and species to target, and pretty good demonstrations and accounts of the different rods and reels - all while clearly having great fun catching fish that we can only dream about.

it really is a good "dropshot" DVD and I like the fact that the "best" have been put together in one show (that being Wesley, Rob, Hennie and the mad dog). It basically means the competitors (or different Fishing DVD makers) are working together on this one.
What I meant is that there isn't seperate sections (like on all the fishing dvds) where they just sit and explain how to do this and how to do that and go into boring detail (at times)
When something is explained in this DVD it is done during the fishing, and then it's back to fishing again...
I enjoyed it, but watched while my son was jumping up and down on the couch and while I was pushing the baby in the pram.
Will watch it again tonight and concentrate some more and look out for the tips.
I still say, good dvd, something different (although in another country ... again) and I enjoyed watching it.

I think there is truth in both comments (neilg & LJ), it all depends on your level of skill. The DVD shows a variety of footage including, tackling up, retreiving and fighting the fish. I have always beleived that if you want to know the secret of what somebody is doing then watch what they do rather than listening to what they say. This DVD definitely had enough footage to see what they do, but it would be great if they made it easier to understand and dedicated a portion of the time to explain the techniques in a detailed way that we can all understand and apply. The DVD is great and thanks to Berkley. I'm sure they'll be back next year, maybe even in SA catching the fish we catch.

Why is it impossible or unlikely that we can in the future perhaps launch a Sealine expedition to a place like Santa Maria. Sure we can get good rates for a camping group booking, and fishing Santa Maria and Inhaca Island.

If you take this DVD in context it was sent to us to educate us on Berkley dropshot fishing and if I lived in Mozambique I would beg, borrow and Steal to get all the "Berkley" gear I need to be like the guys in the DVD, BUT I don't live in Mozambique and all it does is create an expectation that can't be acheived anywhere in S.A. I loved the DVD and again well done Berkley, BUT please don't forget all of us South of Durban. If Berkley wants me to use lots of their stuff they need to show me what to do with it where I fish every weekend.
big ups to van he came through with the dvd, shipping and all at his own expense to durban. so van thankyou, to me service is what counts advice also but service is what sells me. enjoyed the two shore angling one, i felt that it would have been good to cover some of the main types of baits and there retrieves. like the a dvd the aussie did before covering knotts and all. otherwise no way would i swim out and catch a fish without feet on the ground no matter how clear the water is, where there are lots of bait there are also lots of teeth. gonna watch the offshore part tonight
quick question they were using 9foot rods is that standard for r&s, what size reel and line poundage would they use. they also spoke of casting like 100m with a small coffee, wow i have a lot to learn
