Personally I would not do it. I think there are too many risks involved. Tide changes will change currents and side waves, anchor dragging, unexpected weather etc. A better idea would be to launch in the afternoon, fish the evening, lie up in Buffels for the night and pop out again early the next morning.

Thank you. I am going to use your advise. Actually we made a sudden decision to go out this afternoon and we will be out tomorrow morning again just after sunrise. Better safe then sorry so i will stick to the Buffelsbay. Weather is looking good and if we lucky we might catch some cob or geelbek. do you know of any fish that came out there over this past weekend. regards

Just choose your weather properly..........and go home if the weather turns kak ! It is awesome being out there at night to catch Geelbek, and to be on the water as the sun starts to show, to catch the first rises of the Yellowtail. With the correct weather, it could potentially be one of your best experiences. I have spent the night many times on a 16ft mono, but it all boils down to weather !
