So i went to old faithful fishing spot to wet a line before the wify came home.Arrived at just before 2 then made a running trace and walked down to the water which was swelling very nicely , took a warm up cast got a tangle and reeled line back in only to discover the line was a very funny texture so i continued to practise cast tangling my line everytime then thort to myself till eventualy i got the cast control correct and i was happy. Took out a baby mackrel sliced him up tièd him onto my hook and cast my line.2 minutes later i feel a tug on my line then i dip my rod and bring it up again and it hush i losén my drag and rite away my line goes tighten my drag then i reel in stil sitn on my chair. My line is on the edge of the water but doesnt wana reel in anx further thort my sinker mite be stuck on sumthing as there was no fight when i was reelin in I stand up and walk to my sinker only to find a flathead skarky at the end of my line.i get exited then i think i hav never caught a sharky yet how do i get the hook out of its mouth and back to the ocean i panic and call the guys fishing to the left of me for some assistance the remove the hook and we release sharky back unharmed and without me taking a pic dam!!
And thats my first real fish caught other than blaasoppies.
All and all wind was nice for the first time in a while.was at beespens thursday and sunday and wind was howling and tally for thursday 0 and sunday 1 blaasoppie on first cast and that was it ...
