Bearing sizes for most of the common reels

Got these off Alan Tani's website:

Shimano TLD Star 15/30 & 20/40

RH Side Spool Bearing - 6 x 12 x 4mm
LH Side Plate Bearing - 4 x 11 x 4mm
Top Drive Shaft Bearing - 8 x 16 x 5mm

Thanx, was waiting for old salt to confirm the 15/30, 20/40 & speedmaster sizes before posting, he has the sizes for some of the penn multipliers as well.

Cool, old salt will be able to give the bottom drive shaft bearing too!!

Got an old 20/40 that needs bearings so I'll wait for him to post.

When all else fails you should resort to where you should have started! LoL

Give Keith Murrison a call 021 559 6802.

He does not supply smooth drag washers and is knocked for his use of leather drag washers, but still the best option for reels repairs, upgrades and mods!

I paid him a visit when I was in CT last week and I know he was intending to finish the reels he had and then take a holiday...but give him a call.

hi - where can i get a bearing for a Penn 555 reel. it's the bearing that is on the handle side of the reel

BearingMan or any other bearing supplier. Alternatively contact BeyondFishing(www.beyondfishing.co.za) for the original part but it will be expensive.

Please advise if the bearings listed for the Torium30 will also include the bush to bearing conversion, bearing.
