Bass world - are they sinking

Hey all,

Made a turn past bassworld today. IS it depressing there rows and rows of racks with little or nothing on........... And even where there are goods the same pack is spread over several hooks - sadly are we losing another good tackle shop here?

Fortunately Angling africa just happens to be down the road and they are well stocked and well serviced.

Anyone had a similar experince?:?

Well guy hold on to your hats. There is going to be a shop in Benoni apparently selling most of Bass Pro shops stuff and more. So you can shop from boating to clothing to bass tackle all under one roof

Will be good yes because i need to buy something that floats (easy to load on the bakkie ).

Drag to pull the boat around all the time so a 2 man canoo will be great.

Johan won't that have an effect on Danie's business?? A lot of his rods and reels are BPS stock.

I am sure that will have an effect on his sales. But again i think guys from PTA will buy from him and the guys on East Rand and so on will buy from the other place. Or where the best price would be

Revo: Have we met?

Ahh ok, so us out of towners would then just shop around for best price and get mail orders.

Yes, we have met. At Inanda Classic.

yes they are they have moved the shop if you drive from the shop to get on the highway just after the BP garage is a street (not sure of the name) but it's in there you can still contact them on their old number...

I asked them once when they were still in the old shop (cause even then they had empty shelves sometimes) and the answer I got was that they also do wholesale (Zim and North I think), and thats why they sometimes have shortages. I aslo remember seeing one guy buying boxes and boxes of lovely goodies - far too many for one guy to use - so maybe the explanation is right?
