Guys i dont know if this is advertising and if it is alloud.
But i just wanted to tell you all, what good service www.bass.co.za gives.
I bought a little bit of tackle through them in November, just to see how the service is, because i wanted to use them for buying stuff i cant get in the shops in our town.
So i did this and it took about a month before it got to me, i was stressing a bit, but bass.co.za phoned me the whole time and also the post office trying to track it down for me, they were very professional, at the end i got my package and it sounds like it got lost with our national post, because the package was sent the day i paid for it.
This was just a R60.00 package...but Bass.co.za made it like it was a R1000000.00 package and they treated me like a V.I.P. i then ordered a bigger package of R300.00 and i received it in a days time, in the package they gave me a free spinning reel( i know it was a cheap one but this is service that we need in this country) just to say sorry for the delay of the package and to say thanks for my support. It was not even there fault that my package got lost but they took full responsibility for this.

Guys like i said hope this isnt advertising( if you dont think its advertising see it as someone that wants to help hes fellow fisherman to get a tackle shop that delivers), but visit there website, they do have really nice stuff, they can maybe get allot more stuff, but what they have is very well priced.

check it out.
Lets support companies/shops like this that gives good service( the service we dont really see in this country anymore)

Thank you for the information.

I will look in to this as well. This is my experience of ethics and service.

One of the prominent shops  as we call them sold me a pack of creature baits in November it was marked for R15 a mannsbait product in total i spent R220 at the establishment. When i turned the pack around to see the pack information IT was actually sample Soft Plactics which were part of a 2006 Bass Classic in the States.

NOT for RESALE was clearly marked. in bold.

Thanks DUDE

Mias and solly's are way over priced. You pay more than double you pay at other places.

Mias has a website but it they don't update the site

ok thanks. i am looking at getting a bait caster and a rod but am not looking to break the bank have 3 nice spinning rods and reals at home that i use but it time to start getting more serious, any suggestions?

listen bandit, rather save the money you wanna spend now for a couple of months until you have enough to buy a more upper level reel, the cheap one is just going to frustrate you and you'll end up buying the more expensive one anyhows, and remeber the better one will last longer waaaaaay longer than el cheapo......

Pretty good tackle shop/website (Good Selection) Prices are reasonable.

My last order was a R209,85 order took about 5 working days to arrive.

Latest order is R379,60 which i order on monday.

Good customer service all around good tackle website

I agree with you Valrath , but one thing is, id rather do the 1 day postage, allot faster just for R20 more...

me personally would spend more on the rod than on the reel as almost all the feeling from finnesse fishing comes through the rod... MY 2c

as much as you can afford... i personally prefer the qauntum range of rods... harmonic around R700 or the PT series R1250

If you really want to buy a setup now I'd go for a Shimano Crestfire baitcaster. They are cheep, but I have 5 or 6, oldest one is about 8 or 9 years old and still working!

For a rod, the Passionstick range is quite good for its price. These days you can buy a good rod for R400. Just go medium heavy with 12lb line and you'll be set for most situations.
