Pippo is definately your man just see past his poor sense of humour.......His work is good and he won't BS you as to whether or not you are wasting your time.

The potential is there - best is take the boat to him discuss what you want and let him work his magic.

Pippo 012 386 6526

Does he sell cheapies as well? I mean real cheap, as I'm a Govt employee without any fringe benefits like receiving Mercs and the likes.....::S

Ohh and Personally I would fix up the boat myself. You would be surprised at what you can accomplish If you research correctly and take your time in doing the job properly. My opinion though. I have Just bought an old bass boat and am fixing it up to how I want it. It take allot of mooola though you have been warned!

How much do i need to budget, for a decent rig,

Trolling - Mini kota, Moto guide? Battery size?

Fish finders "how many?" - Low range , Garmin

Live well - pump, tank, ect

Good budget for everything?

Foot operated trolling motor 2nd hand 3-5K
Fishfinder Start basic 1.5k x1
Livewell and Plumbing 2k (Pippo has buit sevral live wells for me - no plumbing required (R750))

Bouyancy and COF 2k

Rebuiling a boat is an expensive route but at least you get the boat the way you want

Thanks to all the replies.

Last but not least, anybody knows of a good outboard mechanic.

The owner says the motor needs new "SLEEVES"

Or basically I just want the thing fixed, it is a Johnson 90 HP.

Thanks for the reply Hinetsa will give hiom a call.

Ryan what will be a decent size motor as I am new into the bass boat thing..

If I look at all the Tritons and stuff they have these huge 200hp - 300hp motor and that is a lot off $$$$$$$$$....

How about a nother 90 or 115 hp. And what is the best 2 stroke or 4 stroke?

Mr Zak,

4 strokes cost an arm and a leg and will only save you money after 5 years of use - I have done the math.

Are you wanting to fish competativly or social?

Competativly suggest you buy a new rig with a big motor.
Socially all you need is a boat that is going to get you on the plane and from A-B
