Bare essential plastics for Estuary and Surf drop shot fishing

Hey fellow sealiners

What are the must have plastics for Cob, Garrick, Shad and Grunter. Surely you all have your favourite handful of lures that you ALWAYS take along.

From all the discussions and posts that I have read, I so far gathered that the following are important:

Olive/Watermelon Shad +-5"
Camo Worm 5"
Nuclear Chicken Jerk Shad +-5"
Goldfish shad +-5"

Am I at least getting close?

I was on the Natal North Coast last weekend, used a 3/4 ounce jig head - with a lilac 5 inch minnow, and a bright purple one. Both worked. Also used a 5 inch (small) floating popper, off white in colour, let it drift in the surf, and got hammered, all by Shad. Yes, they did go back into the groot dam, season was closed.

I think yous should go for a curlytail jig on a heavy jig head. They make lots of vibrations.
