Hi boys,girls,:merm,:dapp:,
,:bnana.
Finnaly we can post a new topic in this section.
I had the privlide of fishing Baja dam this morning with Quin and my boet.
We launced @ baja @ 07h00 needless to say that the polar bears and penguins were out in full force and being on the plane with the boat was nothing short of hypothermic.
So how was the
. Quick answer - pretty poor but this I atribute to the condtions.
Water temp never got over 9 ' C the whole day.
We say plenty of decent sized bass - looked mainly like males starting to lay out their territories for the Spawn - needless to say they had Lockjaw.
We saw a few barbel and one motha of +-9kg.
What was incredible were the shoals of carp. We saw shoals ranginging from 2 to 25 fish in the 1-5kg range. We also saw quite a few of the so called Baja golden Carp - they actually look like they have interbred with KOI. They showed some interest in lure but were more preocupied with feeding on goodies off the surface - I could kick myself as I looked At the flyrod last night and decided to leave it at home. Carp are real suckers (excuse the pun) for fly when they are feeding on the surface. Next time.......
So what did we get? 2 bass one in the am and One in the Pm and a good lobster suntan as the wind was strong and the Sun Fierce.
Pics will be attached.
