Heeltemal korrek sover ek kan sien is daar niks oor prawn, wurm rooikrap of seekat nie.

Slegs gooinet, en die goed hierbo genoem nie vanaf sononder tot sonop nie.

The fact that there is no "or" after the "and"...does it mean one may not do it simultaneously, but is still allowed to collect those invertebrates if one is not casting a net?

Just asking, like.

I was also under that impression but they do not say anything about collecting worms and prawns as they do not fall into the genus.

They can try to fine me but they will lose in court.

By the looks of it the people that wrote these rules really didn’t think things through properly. They try and cover everything (saying shellfish and then putting scientific names down in brackets)
According to them I can now eat prawns again..because I can’t find the scientific name for prawns (which ,as I remember is a shellfish), in their list
Watter visserman loop met n Wikipedia onder sy arm. In plaas dat hulle net die reels maak sodat dit sense maak en nog steeds die dierelewe beskerm. Hulle behoort te weet hoe mens gaan vis vang teen die tyd.

Is there an advantage to pumping prawn or collecting worm at night ???? Apart from the obvious fact that our lazy officials cant police it ??

The only advantage u really get on bait collecting at night is with a thrownet and alicrock climb out their holes to feed

i'll give u a good example... usually when i leave for gouritz, i only get there the first night when it's already close to dark... then u need to get red crabs, prawns, occie etc...

Then when i'm there i usually fish the morning till 11, go sleep, eat something, do afternoon till dusk, then quick home eat, pump prawn go for grunter... Get home sleep 3 hours back to the rocks...

ockies are easier to get at night time
The only other advantage is less policing like boep said so the okes take out way more

Same thing here... I usually leave for Stilbaai after work then I only arrive there late at night around 11pm.

I know I want to fish at first light, but I don't want to fish with frozen bait...

The answer, go gather fresh bait before you go to bed.
