Here is a photie of my Carp King.Had it for a week , took it down to a 24 hr comp and launched it out at about sunset.Played around for a few minutes and then loaded it up and sent her on her way. After I dumped the baits she stopped answering the controls and buzzed her way happily into the sunset.Never to be seen again

I also bought a carp king recently, I havent had any problems yet so im happy with it. I bought mine for R2500. The navigator is probably still the best boat in SA the only disadvantage I see with it is that its not a bright color (as far as I know it comes only in camo and black) so I reckon it will be kind of hard to see when its 150m+ out on the water.

All the baitboats have risks and theres not one that garuntees it will always comeback but depending on your friends budget I would say he must go for the Navigator.

So it seems like a carp king is the best value for money. How much is it and where is the best place to get one from?

There are three different ones. These are the prices for two months back. You can check in the Stywe Lyne, they usually advertise there.

MK IV - R25000 single motor

MK IV S - R2500 (was or is on special) single motor plus reverse

STREAKER - R3300 Double motor

Baitboat Centre contact no: 012 664 5051

The best is to buy it from the baitboat centre in Centurion.

I dont own a bait boat,

but have seen an oke at Jim Fouche attaching a spare Rod and Reel to boat and reeling it back. According to him it's safer if the boat get stuck and it also help save battery power as well.

Do any of you okes do this ?
