What a day!

Thanks Johanvc!

We decided a while ago that we are going to do some serious fishing today as I was able to convince my boss (it’s a she ) to give me the day off.

My nephew and I picked Johanvc up at about 4h00 this morning and we were on our way to the mysterious venue after performing Johan's a strict superstitious ritual.

We arrived at the venue about 05h15 and immediately headed for the waters.

Thats when the fun started, we nailed the fish. One after the other.

We caught about 50 fish amongst the three of us which ranged from 100g to 2.10kg. For once I caught the biggest fish of the day :wfish but also the smallest ::jest

The weather turned bad on us round about 12h30 and we decided that it was time to light the fire for a well deserved braai.

Guys guys guys...................... do yourself a favour!

Invite Johanvc to fish and ask him to bring the patato salad :clap12

Johan, se vir jou vrou sy mag maar!!!!!!! :first:woohoo

All in all it was an awesome day. My nephew had a day that he will remember for a long time to come.

Ruan, my nephew(and yes, that reel did see it's arse) LOL

Thanks Bigmouth it was a very fun day and thanks for picking me up and dropping me off.

Well there is not much more to say. We got loads of fish on all different types of baits.

Here is the biggest fish for the day caught by bigmouth and weighed 2.1kg’s. Well done bigmouth sorry it fell short of a new PB

O and one more bit I can say is that even after all the fish we caught it was still not up to scratch to what this dam can deliver. We have nailed 2 of these fish in an hour at this place and have delivered days with not 1 fish under 1.5

What's the point of reporting on a venue and not telling us where it is...? Anyway, I thought the point of a Forum was to spread info...

Nice Fish...

sorry, it was not a stab at you. it was a comment in general to all the selfish fishermen. On numerous occasions I've asked people on the forum for info on a venue and got no response, and i've also seen it happen to other anglers...
