i baught myself awashima line. spooled the reel with 200m each.took my daughter fishing. she used my older reels and i used the new line. the line casted like a dream.but when i hook onto a fish the line tend to break midway through the fight and sometimes when i set the hook. its not at a knot either. sommer by the rod tip or anywhere in between. does anyone had a simmilar problem . what could be the cause. i took my line of. threw it away and spooled with bouble x again.

Please advise a bit more as to which of the Awa-S lines you were using.

We have 18 different lines in a large array of lengths and diameters.

I'd also like to know where you purchased the line as we last supplied to any shops in your area 6 years ago. I do supply to a number of league anglers in your area and can safely say that 5 of the top 12 anglers athe the SA Champs just held at Kwaggaskloof were using Awa-S line and if it was as a rule of thumb so bad then I'm sure it wouldn't feature at a National Championships.
