Is the Assassin's performance and/or build quality that much better to warrant the R1300 price premium?

Looking to target edibles (and maybe smaller non-eds on the odd occasion) on banks a bit further out or where conditions require a heavier sinker.

At the end of the day - I opted for the Assassin - and it will be paired with a BG6500.

Interestingly - I note on the Assassin's advertising sticker on the rod - the recommended sinker weights are 5 to 7 ounces - but then displayed in grams - 142g to 227g.

The 142g is bang on target at 5 ounces
But 227g works out to 8 ounces

They've done the same on their 14" heavy casting model - the sticker says 7 to 9 ounces (227g to 255g)
So the 227g = 8 ounces and the 255 = 9 ounces

ek het 2x van die multiplier stokke 7-9 ons
ons het die 1 al 2x keer gebreek.

die vervaardiger het stok met nuwe section geruil

die specs is 7-9 ons, maar die stok sal nie n 9 ons kan gooi nie.

dis wel n baie ligte stok.
baie lekker in die hand.

Hooked a rocktopus and pulled too hard?
Or did someone bump the blank and never told you about it?

Yes - fully agree - it is a light stick - even with a BG6500 bolted on...

casting, only sinker for sliding.

7,5 ounce could be a 8 ounce.
