Hello mate, I originally converted by 11ft Lesath to the KR concept and although initially skeptical, I must admit, I was blown away with both the smoothness of the cast coupled with the added distance and improved accuracy.
I have enjoyed the conversion so much, I have had my Amia converted, that was initially procured with the micro guides. I am as of yet, to give it its first baptism of fire, but feel confident that it would be a major improvement to the off the shelf product.
The Amia blanks feel phenominal, so I'm positive the KR conversion, will simply be an added benefit to its functionality!

Fair, your argument is the practicality of the benefits for your style and fishing target species. Take into account that there are species and/or days when distance is the only factor between catching or not and that the upgrade improves line life, which becomes a financial incentive after 2-3 seasons, especially if you have AmTack Microwave guides. When it is not one of those days, you have a setup that is more pleasurable to use anyway.My problem with an upgrade is although I'm throwing my lures 100-110 metres, the fish I'm catching are 30-40 metres out. I don't think my problem is reaching my target species but more with finding them.
