Assassin Amia

Hi Guys

I was wondering if any-one has used the new Assassin Amia spinning rod yet? It is 11" / 3.3m rated to cast 1-2oz spoons and plugs in the surf. I have felt the rod in store, and I really like the feel, lots of backbone, yet it's got a nice responsive tip which I am sure will launch a spoon or plug miles away.

Now I am looking for feedback from guys that have actually used this rod for spinning off the beach to help twist my arm...

Hi critter, I bought one and paired it with a Stradic 5000 with 30lb braid, it throws a mile, got my first shad on it yesterday evening, been throwing those CID spoons and plugs, my son got a 5kg garrick on it 2 weeks ago, very impressed.

Thanks Chris

I am extremely tempted... I have a Stradic 5000 with 30lb that will pair up to it nicely! Currently using the 9" air, but have always felt that another 2 - 3 ft would help get more distance.
